Prison Ministry
Director: Tina Osborne

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. For I was an hungred, and ye have me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

Matthew 25:40-43

The Temple’s Prison Ministry’s mission is to spread God’s word and to be a source of encouragement to prisoners across Ohio. Some of the prisons currently involved in the ministry are London Correctional Institution, Madison Correctional Institution, and The Ohio Reformatory for Women in Marysville, though correspondence is provided to prisons across the state. Through this ministry many inmates have been baptized in Jesus Name and filled with the power of the Holy Ghost!

Outreach is provided in many different forms. Bible studies are an important part of the ministry as well. Bibles are provided to the inmates and Bible Study materials are sent to help them to continue to learn more about the Bible on their own.

Staying in contact is just as important once the prisoners are released. The ministry continues by supplying information on local churches, providing clothing and transportation to assist in obtaining employment are all important to helping the newly released prisoners to assimilate back into everyday life.
